How it works

tok-n is designed to be a very simple front end to some very complex systems, it works with any Ticket Issuing System and with any Payment Service Provider. tok-n is ultimately flexible in an ever-changing technical landscape, reducing the cost of change, maximising system availability and ultimately maximising revenue.

tok-n doesn’t collect payment card details, preferring to use secure, tokenised payments via the smartphone. By doing this, tok-n remains ultra-secure and straight forward to deploy, with minimal PCI exposure.

At deployment, tok-n uses Google and Apple Pay to fulfil the ticket and to automate a number of digital systems that were previously manual processes. Most notably, tok-n automates a zero-client-interaction delivery of the purchase receipt, ensuring the customer is always in the loop. tok-n continues to work with partners to expand digital payment options.
